Lifewalk

Victory is the backdrop of my life. Joy is the soundtrack, inflected with hope. Love surrounds me. Faith is the ink that inspires my writing.

This is my life, my walk in words. Life is a journey to eternity. Destination: heaven. Hope to see you there.

If my Greek is correct, my given name means "beautiful." I pray my "lifewalk" is a beautiful one.

Pray!

“Never cease to pray. Prayer can do anything that God can do and God anything but fail!” — Bishop Isaac King, Jr.

And He Spoke.

Within hours, the Lord spoke a simple word through a friend: endurance.

Well, isn’t that like my Father? He knows exactly what to say, how to comfort, and which vessel to deliver His message through.

I’m so grateful. I’m encouraged to endure hardness as a good soldier (2 Timothy 2:3). Amen.

My Prayer.

Dear Father God,

Do not allow me to become disconnected from You by the distractions of the world, my own selfish motives and cares, people, or the simple things in life magnified by the lens of poor perception.

Help me, to see things Your way, grasping the whole concept; focus my thoughts and sharpen my wits that I may have full understanding of the purpose You’ve destined for me.

Help me to operate in Your power and strength. I don’t want to lose the ability to do good, show mercy, or extend grace to others. I need You.

Grant this, I pray, in the matchless Name of Jesus. Thank God. Amen.

Don’t Know? Ask, Expecting.

If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open. (James 1:5-8, Message)

Be direct, be consistent, be clear, be earnest in prayer. We all need and should desire wisdom. So glad our Father isn’t stingy with His gifts. He’ll give it to you.

Why Worry?

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:7 Message
Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matthew 6:27, NIV

Whatever the condition, issue, circumstance invading your thoughts and taking your focus away, simply give it Jesus. He alone can handle it.
